I'm following a tutorial that is telling me how to set up rules for dealing

with incoming mail...the online help in outlook 2003 is telling me the same

thing...click on "tools", "rules and alerts"....there is NO "rules and

alerts" on my tools menu...I DO have the MAIL tab clicked first.



Anyone?

Did you set up your accts in Office's Outlook first? (not Outlook Express)

Make sure you are using POP or IMAP email accts. Rules and alerts do not work

for web mail. The tools menu for this is on Outlook's main page. Make sure

your toolbar is showing All Items in View, Toolbars, Customize, options, Show

Full Menus. Not sure what you mean by "mail tab." Do you have the Navigation

Pane selected in View?
