- Contact >> Outlook import and list problemsOk heres my dilemma. I have a customer with Outlook 2003 and wanting to
import all addresses from Outlook Express including groups/distribution
lists.
I import all and it works out great, all the emails are where they
should be in the lists BUT when I shut Outlook down and restart it the
emails in the lists all disappear.
Anyone seen this?
Thanx
PS this is NOT on exchange just a stand alone pc.
Thanx :)

- IE6&Outlook >> Cumulative patchI have recieved about a dozen emails in the past two days
that contain cumulative patch attachments. All have been
rejected by OE which "removed access to ...unsafe
attachments..." I am running Windows 98 SE.
These attachments include:
Q359933.exe
pack738.exe
q411494.exe
upgrade6657.exe
Installation.exe
QMS.exe
PATCH.exe
PACK5668.exe
PACK2976.exe
Q438858.exe
When I follow the trail I come upon this
NOTE: "Windows 98, Windows98(SE) and Windows 95 are not
affected by this issue."
Where do we go from here?

- IE6&Outlook >> Keeping two copies of OE in sync.I use Outlook Express for checking 5 pop accounts, plus my hotmail account. I
now have a laptop, on which I would also like to be able to check all my email
accounts when I am out.
What I want to be able to do is download my email on either my desktop or
laptop
computer, and have it be resyncronized when I reconnect to my home network.
It's important for me to have all my emails available on either computer.
Does anyone know any way to set this up?

- Outlook >> Embedding ProblemI have searched and searched Google for the answer to this and have
finally given up and decided to just ask the group. I have problem
embedding pictures into my emails from Outlook 2002. Maybe I am just
missing a piece of information, but from what I understand is that in
order for a picture to embedded and not sent as an attachment, you have
to 1)send the email in HTML format, and 2)Not use the option to 'use
word as the editor'. I have made sure those are the options I am
using. I can send a .bmp picture embedded, but .jpg still sends as an
attachment. Any solutions on this? Thanks!

- Outlook >> Importing inboxes and addressbooks from networked computers both with OutlookHello,
I just upgraded my computer and currently have my old one and new one networked together.
In all the "import" program options, importing from outlook TO outlook is NOT one of the options.
What's the simplist way to get my address book and e-mail storage folders to my new computer?
Are there specific files I can move to get my address book to the new computer? (where are they,
I've looked!)
Is there a way to syncronize the two computers, so if my wife sends an email on the 'old' one it
would show up in the 'sent' folder of BOTH computers?
Thanks for any and all help,
James

- Calendaring >> How do I add my own calendar back to "My Calendars" in Outlook?I've somehow lost the automatic view of my own calendar in Outlook when I
switch to Calendar from other parts of the program (Inbox, Contacts, Notes,
etc.). I believe my personal calendar was listed before under "My Calendars"
and isn't now, but I can't find any instructions on how to put it back.
Please help! This is my office calendar and I need to recover that view
badly! Thanks!

Outlook General >> my outlook 2003 send & receive button in not available
When I start outlook the send/receive button is there for around 3-4 seconds
then goes away, after that it isnot available on the toolbars, options or the
tools menu.
I have uninstalled & reinstalled outlook and am still having the same problem.

Outlook General >> my outlook 2003 send & receive button in not available
I have tried changing the outlook.srs to outlook.old but for some reason the
outlook.srs file keeps reappearing under the outlook.old after I restart
outlook and of course the send/receive button disappears again.

- Outlook General >> How to include attachment filenames in message bodyI use Outlook 2002 SP-2 on my laptop at home.
Occasionally, I have to print out an email message as a
record of my correspondence with a client or vendor. The
only problem is the print out does not show what
filenames were attached to message.
I have received email messages from corporate users that
include the names of attached files at the bottom of the
message body. They usually appear as <<filename1.ext>>,
<<filename2.ext>>, etc.
Is there any way I can do this in my version of Outlook?

Never mind. I figued out what's going on. It appears that MS must
have modified the rules as to what OE6 should and should not block.
When I send .bat and .exe files the blocking feature works.

- Outlook >> Synchronize over VPNI currently synchronize my offline folders with Exchange

connection. Here's the problem: In my email profile, I
specify my VPN connection to be used when synchronizing,
however, when I press 'F9', it attempts the VPN without
dialing and of course fails. If I dial before
pressing 'F9', it works fine. Unfortunately this is not
acceptable.

- Outlook General >> Problem with SLOW email send and recieve. For the past couple of days, my email has been
exceedingly slow.
It the bottom of the outlook screen you can see the speek
the messages are coming in at. it shows 60B of 3.67KB. It
takes 12 minutes to bring in a 3.6 KB text only email. I
have just had a 1.6MB file sent to me and it too is
counting it up in Bytes, it did not even calculate a time
to take to upload this file. Anyway I had to use mail2web
to download the attachement.
I am running a current version of McAfee Internet
Security Suite (Version 8)
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, can you let
me know why this is happening.
Many thanks,
