Outlook General >> Newsgroups- Outlook 2007 How does one connect up to Newsgroups (MS Community) in Outlook 2007. I
managed it OK in the earlier version but I cannot figure it out here

Outlook General >> Newsgroups- Outlook 2007 Outlook never was a newsreader. Use Outlook Express/Windows Mail for that.

Outlook General >> Newsgroups- Outlook 2007 Thank you Roady. I realise that Outlook itself is not a newsreader, but in my
earlier version I was able to access the groups from the Outlook app, via
Windows Mail, from a News heading in the outlook taskbar. Can I reurun to
this in the new version? It makes it a lot simpler to access email and news
from one server.

It is rare that one's mail server and one's NNTP server are the same server.
Perhaps you mean "client".

Outlook General >> Newsgroups- Outlook 2007 Yes, Brian you're right, I get terms mixed up. My NNTP server is Windows
Mail. I used to be able to access WM directly from Outlook by clicking 'News@
in the top taskbar. It was simpler than accessing WM separately. That's the
question.

Outlook General >> Newsgroups- Outlook 2007 Windows Mail is your client, not your server. It can be accessed the same
way in Outlook 2007 as in earlier versions. Just add the News command to
your Menu Bar.

No it's not. That's your client.

All that did was launch Outlook Express with a "Outlook Newsreader" skin.

I don't have either Vista or Outlook 2007, so you'll have to rely on someone
familiar with those. Sorry.
