- Outlook General >> Spell CheckingHi all,
I am trying to create an outlook form which does not involve the
_DocSiteControl being filled manually but still has that control to enable
the form to have an attachement.
The form will be read on a blackberry, so I use a script to format and
concatenate the values of the other controls and fill the _DocSiteControl
with this value.
The problem I have is that this form will be used across the world by people
with varying knowledge of the english language, so the spell checker is
required. Unfortunately the spell checker does not appear to be available
until something is entered manually into the _DocSiteControl.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

- IE6&Outlook >> For Frank SaundersI have the same problem as Verne and John. (Both An error
occurred, and the spell check was halted). I went
to "regedit" and checked the Value Data box referred to
and the trailing \ was there. I'd try deleting then
restoring the CSAPI3T1.dll file, but I don't know on
which of the 5 restore disks I created when I bought my
Presario this file is on. It also scares me that I might
screw it up if I delete it then can't find it to restore.
Could I restore it from the "cab" file? Any help would be
appreciated.

- Outlook Install >> Hard Drive Crash Need Help Retreiving Outlook 2007 DataI have reinstalled Everything Including Outlook 2007. I need to know where
to find the data on an image I can mount. I cant sem to find any *.pst files
on the backup image. I never backed up manually to create a *.pst file.
Can someone tell me what I can grab to get my information back. The access I
have is just like using windows explorer.

- Outlook General >> Not Receiving Messages in Outlook 2003Over the past week or two I've noticed a decrease in the
amount of e-mails I've been receiving. I thought it was
just a decrease in spam to start with, which I liked the
idea of, but this morning after logging onto webmail to
see what was happening, I realised that hundreds of
perfectly legitimate messages have been received by the
server but Outlook 2003 hasn't been downloading them for
some reason.
I've tried disabling the spam filter, recreating the
account in Outlook...I really would like to leave
reinstalling Outlook as a last resort. The spam filter on
the server prefixes culprit e-mails with "[SPAM]" so I
can tell it's not filtering out many of the e-mails I've
been missing for no apparent reason.
I can't work out if this is a problem my end or if
something's up with the server.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

- Outlook General >> Turn of autoarchive, remove extend.dat?Hi,
I tried to find out what extend.dat exactly is and if I can remove it
safely or if I should keep it.
We currently have AutoArchive on and now we want to turn it off and
move back the files which are in the .pst file.
so once I done that I remove the .pst file but what about the
extend.dat file, should I remove it or keep it.
Im not 100% sure what all it does because I can't find much

- Calendaring >> Wrong replication of Calendar events in PFHi everybody,
I have very interesting issue with replication of "All Day Event" in Public
Folders.
I have two Exchange 2003 SP1 servers in one organisation and in one routing
group. But one is in Toronto (GMT-5) time zone, another is in Vancouver
(GMT-8).
No troubles with PF replication, except one - when i'm creating "all day
event" for shared calendar in pf in Toronto, Jan.28 for example, this record
will be replicated to Vancouver as 2 (two) days event - Jan.27 and Jan.28
!!!!
And vice versa - if i'l create "all day event" in Vancouver, users in
Toronto will see it as two-days event, but for Jan.28 and Jan.29
I'm totally confused, i used Outook 2003, OWA, results are the same....
Has anybody an idea how to resolve it?

- IE6&Outlook >> tracking sent emailsIn OE You can set your sent email to be notified if opened.
Many users disable that option, others, opens your email but click
NO to send the advise.
Is there any good way to keep track of your email: if it was opened,
clicked, and so on?
A plugin? Option? Software?

- Outlook General >> normal.dot changing unexpectedlyI am running Microsoft XP Professional and using Office 2003 Professional. I
am also using Outlook 2003 SP3. I use Word 2003 as my email editor in HTML.
The problem I am having is that the normal.dot gets corrupted unexpectedly.
I use email signatures and some times they are not there.
I have backed up the normal.dot and when this happens, I restore normal.dot
from my backup and everything is fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IE6&Outlook >> E-mail problems
When I recieve e-mail that has pictures imbedded in the e-mail, there is a
box with an "x" in the upper lefthand corner, but the picture doesn't show.
How can I fix this? There must be a switch to allow images to show. Can't
find it.
Thanks,
Nick

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/redx.htm
Most of the contents of this page are from Don Varnau and Mike Burgess
There are many possible causes and solutions.
Try the quick, easy fix first. Clear the IE cache from IE> Tools> Internet
Options> General> Delete files and Delete offline content. Reset the TIF
folder size to about 50MB (Settings button) and clear it occasionally.
Also, go to Start | Run and type
regsvr32 /i mshtml
and press OK.

Additional information from Mike Burgess:
Are you using a Firewall or "filtering software"?
Several of these are known to cause problems:
1) Zone Alarm Pro [Private Header Info - enabled?]
Reset "Ad Blocking" and "Cookie Control" to "medium"
"Mobile Code Control" = Off
2) Symantec (ISS\NIS)[Enable Browser Privacy - enabled]
Active Content - "Allow All Script To Execute"
Problem: some sites cannot detect the 128 bit encryption
Solution: Completely remove and reinstall NIS.

4) HOSTS file that contains entries that are blocking access to the desired

5) Cookie blocking software that are blocking "required" Cookies.
6) Pop-up blockers that are stripping header\url info.

Note: "Win32" = Windows 98\ME
Other versions = (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0;)
To check your "User Agent":

and it seamed to be working correctly. Then one day my Outlook crashed and
on re-opening it I got a message that a plug-in had caused the error and it
was being disabled. Neither of the video buttons on Outlooks toolbar have
any function now. I have tried unloading and reloading the plug-in with no
results. I can not find the menu to re-enable the plug-in. Anyone out there
have any ideas?

- Outlook >> E-mails with attachments are lostHello friends, we have a unique situation in our office, a few users are not
recieving emails with attachments from specific clients. When the clients
send emails without any attachments they come in just fine. The sender is
not gettning any NDR when the messages with attachments are lost. We do not
have any filter to strip email of their attachments either on the Exchange
5.5 server or on Outlook 2003 clients. I have checked outlook junk folder
and deleted items folder just to make sure that attachments emails are not
ending up in those folder.
Any ideas?

- Outlook General >> Automating Files Into NotesI use O2003. I have created multiple TXT files with canned updates in
which I use in the contact notes. I do this by selecting "Insert File"
and then "Insert as Text" for the file required. It basically inserts
the canned text into my contact notes. Is there a way to automate this
maybe through macros or another method in which I can click on a
command (icon) in the toolbar to insert the required text?
I'm not a big coder of Outlook other than what is provided through
customizing the forms, so I may have a bit of a learning curve if
coding is required. I was just hoping there would be a way to automate
this without coding.
Thanks

- IE6&Outlook >> Receiving Duplicate EmailsI have Outlook Express (OE) configured to use with

- Outlook >> Auto Recieve OnlyWith Outlook 2003, is it possible to set to RECIEVE ONLY every n mins?
I can only see an auto Send/Recieve option - and I'd prefer not to run the
risk of having thing automatically going out of my Outbook without me
hitting the go button. Recieveing automatically, however, would be great.
Thanks everyone.
