IE6&Outlook >> outlook express always assuming "c:\my documents" for saving attachments So far as I know, it is not fixed yet. Thanks to other folks on this
forum, here's a tip that helps. Next time you go to save an attachment,
enter the folder you prefer, followed by any number of backslash ( \ )
characters. For example, enter "c:\temp\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" ,minus
the quotes. With each saved attachment, one backslash character will be
chopped off. Just renew the setting when you run out of characters.
Attachments will be saved to c:\temp.

Hi, Keith!

There is another workaround that you might want to try:

instead of saving attachments with the "Save As" command,
use the "SAVE ALL" command.

When you have multiple attachments, and you don't want to save all of them,
keep the CTRL key down and click on any of the attachments that you
don't want to save.

It works on my Windows XP system.

This will spare you the trouble to have to edit the registry on a regular basis.

Cheers,
Robert

IE6&Outlook >> outlook express always assuming "c:\my documents" for saving attachments Nope. I just figured the other post was so old it wouldn't be seen by
anyone. No harm in making a lot of noise when there's an annoying problem
like this! :)
Thanks for the tip.
