slow response in opening attachments

Outlook6
Hi,

I have a user who is experiencing very slow response time when trying to

open an attachment from an email (the type of attachment makes no difference:

Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, JPEG, etc - they're all slow). He is working

with Cached mode, and interestingly enough he gets a much quicker response

time when opening attachments in archived emails. When this problem first

happened several months ago, running cleanview solved the issue. Now running

cleanview is not helping any.

Anyone have any thoughts on possible problems and/or solutions I could try?

Thanks,

Greg

Re:slow response in opening attachments

Have you tried clearing the Outlook cache?

Re:slow response in opening attachments

Microsoft Outlook uses a temporary folder to save and open the attachments.

By default that folder is:

C:\Documents and Settings\%USER_NAME%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet

Files\OLK#\ (where # is a random number)
