Send A Link

Outlook533
I had two problems:1)Could not make Outlook Express my

default mail program and 2)"Send a Link" in Internet

Explorer does not work. I fixed #1 with support article

306098 but still can't get #2 fixed. I used to click on

Send a Link and it would open up a blank email with the

link pasted in the body. Now it does nothing. Is there a

registry key that makes this work? I may have deleted it

while doing a registry clean-up.

Re:Send A Link

Try method 2 of uninstalling/reinstalling Outlook Express as outlined in

this article (method 2 works for earlier operating systems with the

exception of Windows 95):

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows:

Your registry "cleanup" may have damaged the registry enough to need this

step. Your mail messages will remain intact.

Ditto (32-bit), except for Sendmail.dll.

Rick, Copy/paste the following link into an IE Addressbar and click GO.

Copy/paste the results into your reply:

Better yet (if Q306098 fixed one problem), check in at Windows Update.
