- Calendaring >> Please someone have a solution to this: Deleting Recur. ApptI've looked all over the web and still can't solve this. I hop
someone can help me here. Thanks in advance
I have a lot of recurring items (with no end date) because I see a lo
of my clients regularly every week at the same time. I've notice tha
when I try to delete a recurring item (a client that I no longer se
regularly) the only option available to me in Calendar was to eithe
delete one item or all recurring items (even ones in the past)! If
was to set an end date to the recurring item then all recurrring ite
from the past that has been modified (which is quite often a
sometimes they get cancelled or changed) will re-set as if the chang
never took place
Does anybody else find this a problem

- Contact >> calendar viewshello.
i'm running outlook 2003 on xp and have a question about the calendar
function. from the navigation pane, selecting CALENDAR opens up the calendar
view. on the left pane it displays three months of the year stacked atop
each other. the problem is this: the view is really stretched out and
far-spaced. on my normal monitor running at 102x768 the view is fine but on
my widescreen notebook running at 1440x900, the view is stretched. grabbing
the edges to narrow the left pane does nothing but hide the calendar; it
doesn't shrink the spacing and constrain it. has anyone run into this
before? how can it be fixed?
thanx!
ps/ i can do a prt screen if this will help. please let me know. thanx
again!

- Calendaring >> Setting up RemindersHi. I'm setting up reminders (appointments) for various employees throughout
my facility. I set it up to run the first Monday of each month and if they
accept, then the reminder will pop up once a month for them. However, I have
to set up about 50 reminders for employees, and notice that I get this
reminder set up in my calendar as well. I do not want 50 reminders to pop for
me once a month. Is there a way to set up reminders for employees but not to
have the reminders set up for me? Thanks!

- Outlook General >> incorrect contact listIf I click on the To or CC box when composing a message, a 'Select Names'
dialog comes up with a list of contacts. However this list is not coming
from my Outlook contacts. It is an older, out of date list of contacts from
before my upgrade from Office XP to 2003. How can I find and remove those
contacts?

Does anyone have an idea of what he might have done to his Outlook client

- Outlook General >> Font issue - how to changeHi all,
Some how my outlook client is substituting the "sans-serif" font for another
local font when reading an html email in Outlook 2002. I have MS Sans-serif
on my machine and I don't see a "sans-serif" font on my or any other W2K
machine so I'm thinking that some how a template got changed or corrupted
but I can't figure out how to change/fix it.
Thanks for any ideas.

- IE6&Outlook >> Outlook Express: Message rules & Blocked senders listThe message rules work very well, however, they aren't very intelligent
(i.e.- duplicates allowed...). Is there a better way to organize the rules
(i.e.- remove duplicates, sort, prioritize, etc) than the Message Rules tool
itself? Shareware?
My blocked senders list seems to always be blank, even though I add senders
to it. I can add senders, they are on the list for the session, but aren't
when I log back in. It seems to me that allowing an external database file
(just plain text) would make this and the message rules a little easier to
work with. Thanx!

- Outlook General >> Auto completeMy brother claims on his old computer with Outlook 2000 when you started
typing an email address a drop down list would appear wth a list of previous
email addresses used and you could select which one you wanted instead of
having to type the whole email add.
On his new computer he said that drop down list doesn't appear.
Operating system WIN XP.
I do not use Outlook and am unfamiliar with it.
How can he turn that autofill feature on??
Thank you

- Outlook Install >> Trouble with Defaults in Font, Colo, Size, BackgroundI had just downloaded (or thought I did) Office XP 2003. I will explain that
in another question as it is complicated.
Anyway, my earlier version of Outlook and this one (2003) give me same
problems.
I always had a default email that was satisfactory or could be changed.
Suddenly, the default changed without my doing anything. I finally decided to
change to this newer version in the hope the old problems would go away, but
they did not.
When I write new or reply my type looks like it must be a -10 size as it is
too tiny to read. I set the Font at TIMES BOLD 14 PT BLUE so I should have
a good sized, bold, blue letter when typing. Instead I get the tiny, tiny
font and cannot change it. I want to be able to have a default setting for
all my emails where I always have the same FONT, size, color, background, and
other attributes. So far, with lots of trying, I only make things worse.
To make matters worse there is a default coming up that is awful. It is
invisiable as the font is unknown, size 10, color light yellow on a white
background. I cannot get rid of this and it always comes up on my new emails
with typing already visiable. The words look like part of my signature. No
matter what I do, these awful default values will be use and I have to cut
out the unnecessary typing in the and formatting.
I need to know how to get rid of the old format forever and put one in that
I like. I can't seem to do this after never having a problem like it for
years.
Thanks
George

- Outlook >> Fonts change ColorMy email font color is navy blue. I compose in Plain Text. Whenever I
insert anything ( a link) the fonts after that are black. The only way to
get them all the same color is to toggle between Plain Text and Rich Text.
Is there another way to keep the fonts the same color?

suggestions?

Outlook General >> Send Outlook messages without saving a copy
An e-mail program I used to use gave me the option, when sending messages, of
sending the message only, or sending the message and saving the sent message.
I found it a tremendous help to eliminating the bulk of my Sent folder
without having to go in and clean it out daily or weekly. Is there any way
Outlook 2003 can be set up to do that?

- Outlook General >> Outlook 2003 outbox messages not sentDoes anyone know an easier way to send edited outbox messages?
In Outlook 2003, I've noticed that when I open outbox messages to add
something to them before sending them, then click "Send" button, the
messages still have a "Draft" icon and don't get sent out when I click on
Send/Receive.
However, if I click on Forward (to forward the message), the "Send" icon
appears, and the message gets sent out when I click on Send/Receive.

- Calendaring >> manage several briefing meetings over a dayI have to organize several hour long briefing meetings during a day. Staff
can choose which time slot they wish to attend but I need to limit the number
of attendees to each session. Is there a way I can do this automatically in

I can't send the message as a meeting request and use the voting buttons
then which would automatically put the meeting into staff calendars.
Thanks

- Outlook >> Server timeout messagedoes anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid outgoing

thinks it wasn't, and tries to re-send, resulting in
multiple messages to my recipients.
