- Calendaring >> Private Note option for Meeting Organizer directly Calander eventI use Outlook 2003
Outlook should allow the Meeting Organizer to type private notes directly
into the Message event in the calendar. These notes should not be included
with Invites or Meeting Updates.
Example: In a recurring meeting every Wednesday, Jesse writes back and says,
"I will be late on the 12th" which is three weeks out. The meeting organizer
should be able to make notes regarding this without announcing to the group
that Jesse is going to be late.

- Outlook >> Detect & Repair Missing / Address Autocomplete not workingI have Outlook 2003 with XP Pro /SP1. System originally had a version
of Outlook 2000 which I uninstalled and then installed Outlook 2003.
During OL2003 install I selected Upgrade (probably should not have).
Anyway, I now have a couple of issues (1) Detect & Repair is missing
off of Help menu, and (2) the address autocomplete feature does not
work even though "Automatic name checking" and "Suggest names while
completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" are both checked. I also searched
and did not find the .nk2 file
Appreciate any help!
PS: I went to Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs -> Selected
Outlook 2003 -> Change -> Reinstall or Repair, but this did not
correct either of these problems.

- Outlook General >> arrange by groupsThis is a default setting in OUtlook2003. Is there any one on this planet who
knows how to de-select this for all folders in the mailbox/personal folder.
We migrated from Office XP to 2003 and its a hell of a job to de-select this
option for all folders, and sub folders, and sub sub folders and sub sub sub
folders if you get my drift.
This will be very wel appreciated.

- Outlook Install >> WGPOCPL.CPL and XPI'm still running Microsoft Mail because I like the Netfolder Calendar
sharing that Outlook 2000 offers, in spite of its limitations. I've
still got a couple of machines that run Win2k, but I'm slowly replacing
them with XP machines. I copied the WGPOCPL.CPL and WGPOADMN.DLL files
from one of the Win2k machine and installed them in the Windows\System32
folder of an XP machine, but when I go to run the MS Mail applet on the
XP machine, it accepts the Post Office username and password and then exits.
I see there is an old post here from 2001 with this behavior, but no
response.
Any ideas as to why it doesn't work?
Thanks,

- IE6&Outlook >> Recovering Emails from Outlook Express filesHi,
Unfortunately I made backup copies only of my Outlook 6 files (.dbx
extension I think) before I reformatted by PC to clean it up. I know now
that I should have used the "export" function.
Now when I try to read these email files (there is 1 file for each email
folder), OE6 says no files found. Is there any way I can recover my emails,
given that the data files are there.
Regards...

What's causing this? I am comfortable with these

this function, and how do I access attachments removed by
this function?
Happening on both Win 98 and XP

Outlook General >> Outlook should filter subdomains of safe/blocked senders
When I add a domain to the Junk mail safe or blocked senders lists, outlook
should filter any subdomains too.
For example if I choose to block or accept: somecompany.com
Then mail from: EMail@HideDomain.com should also be blocked or
accepted respectively. At the moment it doesn't appear that this is the case.

At least for the Junk Senders list, it already works this way in Outlook
97-20002. For Outlook 2003, you can do the same thing with a rule "where
the sender's address contains somecompany" (or somecompany.com, if you want
to allow somecompany.net).

- Outlook General >> Outlook 2003 with RPC Over HTTP - Password changeHi,
Setup: Win2003 + Exch2003 + Outlook2003
I think the answer is no, but might be worth trying.
Is it possible for users, when they are connected through RPC over HTTP to
change their email account password? These users are not connected locally
to the exchange server. ie, only way to connect with outlook will be through
RPC over HTTP.
Thank you

- Contact >> Contacts inside Distribution Lists issueWe have a department that sends out emails to 1200 of our brokers. All these
brokers are added as contacts and then added to Distribution Lists based on
the Letter of their name (A to Z). We have an issue whereby we update or
remove an email address from a contact and when we look at the DL that this
broker is in, it still shows the old email address. For example, I remove an
email address from Don's Broker Services and when I look at the Brokers-A DL,
I still see the email address that I just removed. If I send an email to the
DL, the deleted email address still receives the email.

- Outlook Install >> 550 not local host error outlook 2007Anyone find a solution for this I would hope so by now. I did an upgrade over
outlook 2003 with office 2007 beta 2 and I have created the following
problems with sending mail.
1. If I send an email to support@microsoft.com or any other address outside
of my network I get a non delivery email instantly in my in box from the
system administrator IE:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: RE: Under the wire update
Sent: 7/28/2006 10:51 AM
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
'Joann Mcpherson' on 7/28/2006 10:51 AM
550 not local host watsonfurniture.com, not a gateway
I will note that I sent this email to joann@watsonfurniture.com
I have an pop3 / SMTP server on my local network, has been operational for
five years, has several hundred users and no history of problems and no
recent changes. All of my permissions are set properly this must be a bug
with Outlook 2k7 the box next to this runs fine with Outlook 2k3 and the same
accounts.
I can send mail fine to other users on my mail server just not out side of
my network. The problem only exists on the Outlook 2k7 client.
Anyone out there on this?

- Outlook >> New Connection Wizard keeps appearingI use Outook Express solely for newsgroup access, so I've configured a
shortcut that launches Outlook Express with the "/outnews" switch. I've
been using this for a year without incident.
In the last few weeks, I've been presented with the New Connection Wizard
every time I launch Outlook Express. I've made quite a few changes in group
policy in the last few weeks (not all of them intentional), so it may well
be a GPO setting that's causing this. However, I can't track it down.
All clients are configured via DHCP with their TCP/IP settings, Internet
Explorer is set to "Never dial a connection" and "LAN Settings" options are
all deselected and blank. Opening IE or any other internet-aware program
does not cause the Wizard to appear; only Outlook Express does this.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

- Outlook General >> Printing CalendarI am using Outlook 2003. I am printing my calendar on 81/2 x 11 paper. My
settings are Franklin Planner Monarch (that is what I am using it for), it is
set to print the calendar on 2 pages, portrait. In Outlook Options,
Calendar, I have Monday set as the first day of the week, though I prefer
Sunday. In any event, when I print the calendar it prints Saturday and
Sunday in one square, which is normal, however; it puts it in the middle of
the week. My calendar starts printing on Tuesday, next day is Wednesday,
next day is Saturday and Sunday, then Monday, etc. There are no other
settings that I know of to change. Can anyone help?

- Contact >> How Organize Data from Multiple Copies of Outlook?I have three hard drives, a 15 GB, a 80 GB, and a 120 GB. Only the 15
has a working Win XP on it and it's the boot drive I'm using now.
Because of different events (don't get me started!), I have three copies
of Outlook 2003, one on each drive. I have some contacts and messages I
want on each drive, and I have lots of duplicates. Some contacts are
updated versions of other contacts with the same name.
What's the best way to edit and arrange all this into one set of mail
folders with one final group of contacts?
I want to clear out the 120 HD, and fresh install XP on it. So
naturally, I have to park its data somewhere. And I might as well
organize things now.

- Outlook Install >> How do you unistall BCM?Does anyone have instructions for manually uninstalling Business Contact Manager?
I don't have an entry for MSDE or for Business Contact Manager in Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.
I tried a System Restore back to before installing BCM - and that did remove BCM from Outlook, but it left MSDE and all of its components and databases
I'm hoping some one has manual instructions for unistalling.
