Suddenly, Outloox started asking for my password. this started just today for some reason. I have to give it each and every time I want to get my Email. My service (Yahoo DSL) says it's a problem with Outlook. Is it? Bill - |

Re:Constantly asking for Password to POP3
I can see by the number of 1-entry posts that this newsgroup is pretty dead.
Loads of problems, but nobody is willing/able to help anyone. I thought MS monitored these newsgroups fairly well but I guess I was wrong. "HiBaller" wrote: QuoteSuddenly, Outloox started asking for my password. this started just today |

Re:Constantly asking for Password to POP3
MS does not monitor this group. It is a peer to peer group.
Most of the posts that go unanswered do so because the answer has already been given innumerable times or the inquiry contains too little information to provide a guess. Both appear to be the case with your post. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "HiBaller" <HiBaller@discussions.microsoft.com>wrote in message QuoteI can see by the number of 1-entry posts that this newsgroup is pretty - |

PS: When you are as old as I am AND you are on dial-up, you don't have enough
time to wait for each past page to load to see if yout question has already been asked. In any case, most questions don't have the subject in them anyway and you have to open them to find out what they contain. Shame on you, sir. You are an MVP and can't even give an answer without flaming the person? "HiBaller" wrote: QuoteWell, Gee. Thanks a ton, old bean. You have a nice day too. |

Re:Constantly asking for Password to POP3
Oh come on. You thought that was flaming?
All I did was point out that you provided none of the information that would be necessary to solve your problem and that countless other posts exist that address an identical problem. The "simple" solution for you would depend on your Outlook version, your operating system, and a more accurate description of the steps that produced your problem--none of which you have provided. That is the reason your post went unanswered and will remain so. If you think MVP's are here to read your mind and spoon-feed exactly the information that only you require, then you do not understand how Usenet works.
