create a link to open a windows explorer window

Outlook160
it is easy enough to create a link to open a specific file, but is it

possible to include a link in an email to open a windows explorer

window in a specific folder?

Re:create a link to open a windows explorer window

i should add one more complicating factor, and that is that FireFox is

my default browser. the link worked exactly as expected with IE as my

default browser.

Re:create a link to open a windows explorer window

the format would be similar to \\beta2\my music\ where beta2 is the computer

name and my music is the folder, you may have to put <>around the statement

and obviously the recipient will need permission and accessibility to the

path for it to work

in an email!
