Export to .pst operation failed?

Outlook655
I try to back up my email often.

When I did a back up this time, which I include subfolders, near the end it

gives me "operation failed"

The file is pretty big is there any set size when exporting that Outlook

would fail?

thanks

Bruce

Re:Export to .pst operation failed?

Also, When I look where it is saved, it shows a file, which is fairly

sizable, not sure if it saved everything?

This is Outlook 2003

Don't know exactly how you're doing it now, but you may want to try this backup

routine for all of the content in your PST files:

Outlook 2003 Add-in: Personal Folders Backup

Re:Export to .pst operation failed?

Exporting is never a good way to backup Outlook data.

Backup Outlook data by copying the relevant Outlook data file.

Re:Export to .pst operation failed?

Well, always worked for the last 8 or so years it seems. Found teh problem

after I cleaned some of my emails out using scanpst.exe. It needed to be

cleaned out some anyways.

thanks

Re:Export to .pst operation failed?

You've been lucky. Exporting routinely loses and often misplaces data.
