A couple of basic questions about outlook 2003.

Outlook601
Currently, I'm using outlook 2003 only with POP servers only. However, I'm

considering getting an exchange account hosted at a web provider. So, here

are my questions:

1. Will that new exchange account use it's own .PST file with it's own

calendar and contacts so that my POP mail/calendar/ is not commingled with

MAPI mail?

2. When new mail is received outlook currently places it all into one

INBOX. Will that be the same operation with mail received from the MAPI

account?

3. Will I be able to move POP messages to the MAPI account?

4. Are there any resources on the web that someone can point me to that

discusses the operation of both POP and MAPI mail in a single outlook

instance?

5. On an unrelated matter, can I create multiple "contact lists" in outlook

2003? For example I'd like to create a separate set of contacts that are

"outdated" contacts that would not be synced up with my phone.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

An Exchange account does not use a .pst file at all. The default =

configuration is to use an offline folders .ost file. However, you can =

have only one default information store to which mail is delivered, in =

other words, only one default Inbox. If you want your POP3 account to go =

into its own .pst file, you can use a rule to route incoming POP =

messages into their own folder.=20

Yes, drag and drop from your .pst file's folders.=20
