Outlook General >> import messages from hotmail I use MSN Hotmail plus, here's the blurb......

"The MSN Hotmail Plus yearly subscription of $19.95 plus tax includes 2
Gigabytes of total MSN Hotmail account space, the ability to send larger
attachments, no graphical ads, access to the MSN Hotmail mailbox via
Microsoft Office Outlook or Outlook Express, exemption from the account
expiration policy and 30 MB of MSN Groups storage. Refund only available if
cancelled within one month from purchase and automatically renews yearly
unless cancelled."

Outlook General >> import messages from hotmail i actually use regular hotmail through OE. i stay on top of my account by
moving messages into local folders (i never seem to get beyond 5% of storage
capacity). Attachments don't seem to be a problem (i use a comcast account
to send large music files).

my question was for a friend that uses Hotmail exclusively and is trying to
get all of the messages off of the server and onto her computer. i will tell
her to take the 19 dollar risk and see if she can import to Outlool or OE.

Do you know, is there better support from HM when you pay? thanks.

Outlook General >> import messages from hotmail Well I've never compared the free service - I used to have their modem and
then they stopped supplying DSL accounts , so I switched to Comcast. I was
so worried about losing my MSN email account, that they suggested that this
was the cheapest way to ensure that it would never be cancelled. I have
always found their service to be very good.

Outlook General >> import messages from hotmail i highly recommend the free account for use with Outlook or OE. i use it
daily so the concern of cancellation is not a big one for me. The obvious
drawback is that i need to do most of my work from my pc or laptop to stay
organized, but if needed i can i can check email from any computer anywhere.
thanks.

Outlook General >> import messages from hotmail Free accounts no longer can download to Outlook or Outlook Express. You
will need a paid account. Only legacy Hotmail accounts can still use
Outlook or Express and there is no guarantee how long that will last.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Cone asked:
