Outlook 2007 Email Hanging Up

I recently upgraded to Office 2007. I like most of the improvements. The

problem is when I go to email someone as soon as I start entering their email

address in the "To..." email address field it hangs up for about 8 seconds.

In other words nothing shows up in the "To..." email address field regardless

of how fast or slow I type in the email address.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
