K9 spends the time to look at each email, determine if it is spam or good,
and diverts the spam to a folder of your choosing.
This wastes a lot of time.
Is there a program that deletes spam from your mail box at your ISP
location?

- Contact >> import .pst file into Outlook ExpressI have copied my contacts from Microsoft Outlook onto
a diskette, which are in a .pst file. I now have a new
computer, with only Outlook Express 6 on it. How do I
import my contacts on the diskette in .pst format into
Outlook Express? Simply trying to import it doesn't seem
to work. I can import all kinds of files, but not a .pst
file.

- Outlook Install >> Outlook 2002 won't send messagesI can receive messages but not send them. Using test settings I keep being
asked to verify the e-mail address field. I have checked it innumerable
times. I have also tried setting the account up again, all to no avail. All
the other settings are ok, and when I try the test settings it can find both
incoming and outgoing mail servers, but cannot send the test message. Does
anyone know what I am doing wrong?

- Outlook >> Billing Information in OutlookI am trying to save or record billing information so that
it will show in the "Billing Information" feild on
the "Activities" tab in the Contact file. Under "Record
Billing Information" in the HELP file itsays to record
billing information through a TASK. I have done that. It
does save in the TASK., but it does not show up under the
contact. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

- Outlook >> Ten thousand crashes and counting... Please HELP!!!Ok, I'm at my wits' end here.
New computer. Outlook XP installed along with the rest of Office XP
(which, by the way, I'm beginning to consider just flushing the whole
thing and putting back 2000).
This evening Outlook is simply crashing again and again.
I have been unable to open any single e-mail that has an attachment.
I have in the past 20 minutes:
Crashed Outlook 100 times
Rebooted my computer 40 times.
I'm basically ready to scrap the whole damn office xp which in my
opinion is nothing but crap. 2000 was great and then XP comes along
basically 2000 + 10,000 bugs.
Any ideas as to what's causing my crashes?

- Outlook General >> Why Didn't .pst File Shrink After Deleteing Old Messages?I am a pack-rat when it comes to saving old mail messages in mail folders
but now I have seen the light and have deleted virtually all of my old
messages. The problem is that I notice that the .pst file that contained
these has not shrunk in size ... it's every bit as long as it used to be.
Why didn't the .pst file get smaller ... as I understand it all my saved
messages were stored in there?

I use the PC's modem to dial phone numbers in conjunction with Outlook's
contacts feature. The timer starts OK at the beginning of the call, but
doesn't stop when I hang up the phone - only whent I terminate the call by a
mouse click.
Can the timer be made (through a VBA routine say) to stop when the phone
itself is hung up?

- IE6&Outlook >> cannot resize OE windowWhen OE opens, the first window (inbox, etc.) is not
outlined in blue and I cannot drag the sides of the
window to resize it. I'm running the same version (win
Xp home--OE 6) on my laptop and that window can be
resized like any other. Can anybody help me here? thanks

- Outlook General >> Outlook 2003 SP3 AutocorrectAfter Office 2003 SP3 installed autocorrect no longer functions when using
Outlook as the email editor. It used to work when email was in Rich Text or
Plain text. It will work if I use Word as an editor. How do we fix this? I
have tried "detect and repair", turning off the autocorrect options and then
turning back on.

3 days ago. Though I haven't changed anything--I can send fine, but always
get an error message telling me the connection has timed out, and suggesting
its a server/ISP problem. Everything checks out on that end--incoming &
outcoming addresses are correct & ports seem to be clear--I was able to
telnet into my server and can see there are messages there, but Outlook does
not seem to be picking them up.

contacts list, however, when she printed a copy of the
email it listed all of her contact list email addresses
under a subheading of Contacts.
Is this a bug, or is there a setting that governs this?
Has anyone ever seen this before, or know of a way to
correct it?

- Outlook General >> OE6I don't know if this is the right forum, but I couldn't find one for Outlook
Express. I have Windows XP Pro and OE6. I just started to have a problem
and I am not sure if it is because of OE or my ISP.
When I start OE, I am almost never able to connect to the POP3 server. When
I hit 'Refresh' once, it always connects immediately. To me, it sounds as
if I might have something configured wrong in OE, but I don't remember
anything being changed. Can someone point me in the right direction to
solve my problem?
