- Outlook >> Weird reminder noticeFor some reason, I keep getting a reminder notice out of
Outlook, with the current date, but it has a web page in
it that says the site is unavailable. There is no way to
remove it unless I bring up task manager and end the task.
It happens daily. Has anyone else seen this and if so,
what do I do??

- Contact >> Updating Contacts for non-exchange users; 25 usersHello,
We recently changed our email address from username@isp.net to
username@domainname.com. A few issues however:
1) Currently all users are now using username@domainname.com. However, I
need to know the best means to update all Contacts on the local machines
(since non-Exchange enviroment). I was thinking sending out the new V-cards,
going around to each machine and saving as new contact and deleting old
contacts. Gotta be a faster way.
2) When a users goto to send out and email: They start to type in the
employes first name and the new email address as well as the old email
address shows...any means to "delete" this memory of sent-to address? So
users dont send to username@isp.net -vs- new username@domainname.com?
Any help with this matter would be GREAT. As im sure there is a faster way
for #1 and an easy way for #2...just cant find it.
MUCH THANKS!!

- Outlook General >> How to treat mail with capital letter subjects as spam (OL2000)?I am receiving a lot of email spam from the people in Nigeria and they
all use capital letter in the subject words. I would like to add a
rule to Outlook 2000 that stops mail containing all capital letters in
the subject. How can this be done?
Also:
Is there a way to "plug in" a spam filter into Outlook that I can
program myself such that I can check the message for random senders
(like the strange sender names on hotmail) and partial matches on the
sender's domain. These rules seem impossible to add to Outlook2000.

- Outlook >> missing page sizeHi all,
I am having a problem when printing an e-mail in outlook
2000.
The styles available are only phone book, but that is not
really the problem; the problem is that it selects the
half page size by default, I have to change it to monarch
to get it to print one page per page.
I found out that this happens with any paper type selected
and any printer. In another machine the default page size
was Letter, when Letter paper type was selected. I do not
even have a letter size, it starts right away with half
letter.
running office repair did not resolve the issue
Any ideas? has anyone seen this before?

You, too? Darn, this is a vexing problem.
Tell me, do you have a McAfee product installed? Did you
install the latest
patch (VirusScan Professional 7.03)?

Is there a DWORD named UseOutlook and is its value
set to 1?
If so, you have Address Book configured to share
contacts with Outlook, even if you don't use it (can
happen with the install of Office). Change the value to 0
(zero) and Address Book should be available to you.
If you don't have the DWORD value, don't add it.

- Outlook General >> Importing mail from old (97-2002) style folder to 2003 versionI recently got Outlook 2003 and would like to have my mail in the newer
2003 type folders. I am presently using my old 97-2002 style folder for
the main mail folder.
I created a new 2003 folder, and the only way I could see to transfer
data was to drag and drop. This is very slow and, in the end, I found I
had not imported contacts and calendar information. So I have gone back
to the old folder for now.
Is there a way to do this transfer efficiently and get all information
transferred?
Thanks.

- Outlook General >> Enter Network Password pop upI am having a problem with the "Enter Network Password" pop up. It
happens when I haven't used my computer for along time and I leave
Outlook running. When I return to the computer I always have the pop
up. At this point Outlook will have stopped sending/receiving email on
all the accounts until I clear the pop up. I DO NOT have to re-enter
any information - the correct server, username and password are already
entered, I just have to click the OK button and everything is back to
normal.
I do not have multiple accounts with the same server, username and
password on this computer. However, I do check the same email accounts
from multiple computers. Sometimes, when I'm using the computer, access
to one of the accounts will be denied because another computer is
checking that account, but I do not get the Enter Network Password pop
up so long as the computer is being used. I only get the pop up when
I've left the computer for an extended time.
Until a few weeks ago I was having this exact problem with Windows ME
and Outlook 2002. Now I am using a new computer and having the same
problem with Windows XP and Outlook 2003.
Now here's the strange part - this problem is unique to this LAN. I do
not have this problem from another LAN. There I have Windows 98 running
Outlook 2000 and Windows XP running Outlook 2000. No matter how long
those computers go unattended they continue to sucessfully download
email from the server.
So I'm guessing the problem is related to Outlook 2002/2003 or the
problem has something to do with my network.
I have seen Outlook article 264672 and I don't believe that applies
here because 1) Outlook is not forgetting the password, and 2) I have
had the exact same problem on two computers, one of them having this
problem from day one.
HELP!

Outlook General >> Duplicate hyperlink
Hi,
My email signature looks fine to me (created in Word 2002), but when my
clients get it, it repeats the email address and url like this:
:EMail@HideDomain.com" EMail@HideDomain.com
p://www.abc.com" www.abc.com
I'm using rich text and Outlook 2002. Any idea why the duplicate?
Thanks,

Outlook General >> Duplicate hyperlink
Don't use rich text unless the receiving end also uses Outlook. Better is to
use HTML or Plain Text.

Outlook General >> Duplicate hyperlink
Hi Robert,
Both sender and receiver are using Outlook with rich text. Sender has
Outlook 2002 and receiver has Outlook 2003. Neither have Exchange Server.
According to your instructions, this would not be causing the problem, right?
Any other ideas would be great.
We don't want to use HTML because we want to use a 'tight' image in the
signature and can't do so with HTML.
Thanks,
Michele

invitees won't click on accept or decline, they just click on reply with
