- Outlook General >> Limit in outlook 2003 to 250 items at a timeI have outlook post form that reads items from a public folder and import
the the user fileds to excel. I noticed that this outlook form works for
only to
250 items in WinXP but works fine in Windows 2000. Any idea how I can make

- Outlook >> Can open .msg File only onceHello,
I have the following funny thing with my Outlook:
An Oulook-Message was saved in the .msg format. (local or
on a share)
I can open this file per explorer once (if outlook is
running). If I close this file and try to open it again, I
get an error message like:
Could not open this file, because it is in use/not
existant/ not enough right for this file/folder....
If Outlook isn't running (checked with task-manager) I can
open this file again. (it takes quiet a bit, but..)
It makes no difference, which software used. I tried
Windows NT 4 and Win2K, Office 97, Office 97 with Outlook
2000, Office 2000. (with or without the SP's or SR's)
Anybody an idea or suggestion?
Thanks a lot

- IE6&Outlook >> Easy Question - Delete EverythingHow do I delete all my messages, newsgroups, folders, contacts. Everything.
I want it to look like a clean install. I was using OE6, then switched to
Outlook 2000. Now I want to switch back. But when I import from Outlook
2000, it is duplicating all my older messages.
So, now I have a bunch of duplicated messages. If there is a way to delete
duplicates I will do that, otherwise, I want to delete everything.
Thanks

- Outlook >> Outlook 2000 with 2 mail accountsDoes anyone know how to specify which account actually sends mail when
you have Outlook set up to use more than one account. I use AT&T worldnet
and Nesbeonline but for some reason it always tries to send through the AT&T
smtp server. That's fine most of the time but if I'm having troube
connecting I'd like to be able to switch to the Nesbeonline smtp server. I
have already changed the default account to Nesbe but it didn't seem to make
a difference.
Thanks,

recently changed the Outlook data file and the location for my email folders.
When I did that, I lost all the views. I want to restore them. The original

longer available so I cant reconnect to it. I did export the data file before
I disconnected from the Exchange file. Any help would be appreciated.

- Contact >> MAPI Office 2003 security (allow access for x minutes) scripting on web page(sorry for cross posting - but this seems to span several areas and I
didn't find a perect fit in any news group)
I have a form on a web page on the intranet. One field is for entering
names and is automatically resolved to global address book (GAL) names
by using MAPI to resolve - see code below.
The problem is that the organisation here is going to migrate to
Office 2003 and that means that some office 2000 dll is being replaced
by a more "secure" office 2003 dll. This new dll now pops up a box
saying "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses ..... allow
access for 1 minute" when the names entered on the web page is being
resolved ..
This behaviour is going to be very annoying for the users and we need
another solution. I tried CDO - but that seems to rely on MAPI because
the same pop up appears. I also tried
createobject("outlook.application") , but that is now SO smart that it
tries to resolve the name in the to address field on the new mail
being created - and not displaying the "check names" from Outlook.
How can I resolve names without the "security" pop-up - any ideas ?
cheers

- Outlook >> from: field won't go awayHi, I have a problem with my outlook - I have two accounts set up, one
is with exchange and the other is with pop3. All of a sudden all of my
emails default with the from: field on and filled in with my exchange
name. This is a problem because any mail I send through my pop3
account is telling people to reply to my exchange account which I do
not want. I can clear out my name there and everything works, but
thats a pita, I want that to be off like it was before.
I checked my other computer and it works fine, so its something local
to my machine. I also tried deleting my email profile and creating a
new one and it keeps doing the same thing. This is driving me nuts. I
didn't change anything today and it just started happening. I should
add that if I start a new email the from: field is not there, only on
reply or reply to all.
thanks,

- Outlook General >> How do I fix error of "Could not find message window" when attach.I receive an error window every time I try to attach a file that states
"Could not find message window." Size or type of file is irrelevant to the
appearance of the message, it appears regardless and will not let me attach
the file. I can, however, send files by right-clicking and using the "Send
to" option, though this automatically compresses the file which is not a file
format that my clients are able to receive. I would like to fix the error
overall, but in the meantime I would like to find a way to send files without
having them automatically compressed.

- Calendaring >> Print shared calendar in Daily Style with tasks?Hello,
When I print my calendar view in Daily Style it gives me the choice to
choose either to print No Tasks, Daily Task List, or To-Do-Bar for Tasks.
But when I am printing a calendar of another person that I have access to
(both calender and tasks) this choice is grayed out and it will not print out
tasks. It just prints 2 notes sections.
Is there any way to get it to print out the tasks of the other user as well
as their calender or does Outlook 2007 just not have this ability.
TIA

- Outlook General >> Scheduling meetings and viewing free/busy across timezonesI think this may be 2 questions, but I'll ask them together :)
let's assume user1 exists in London and uses GMT with DST enabled
let's assume user2 exists in New York and uses Eastern Time with DST enabled
user1 wants to schedule a meeting with user2 at 2pm (local time to user1)
user1 and user2 both use OL2k3 and the back end is e2k3. both users are part
of the same exch org.
1. When user1 views user2's free / busy time in a meeting request, will
he/she see user2's free busy time for 2pm GMT or 2pm ET?
2. When user2 receives the meeting request, please confirm that he/she will
receive the meeting request as 9am (GMT-5) and not 2pm.
I'm 99% sure that point 2 works correctly, since ol2k3 includes timezone
data in the request, but am unclear whether this implies point 1 works in a
similar fashion.
Any offers?
thanks,
neil

- Outlook General >> Changing the Repy-To adress when an e-mail is sent to a specific e-mailHello all,
I would like to configure Outlook to perform the following:
- when I answer to a message sent to a given adress
- then my Reply-To address takes a specified value,
- and the message is also sent to a specified e-mail, if this
specified e-mail is not already in the 'To' or 'Cc' or 'Bcc' field
Does somebody know if this is possible with Rules? with a VBA macro?
Thanks in advance!

- Contact >> Phone number autoformatThe Outlook 2000 auto format of phone numbers is an extremely painful item.
It does not work well for international dialing - I would like to store the

I.e. India is dialed 011-91-33-12345-67890. Outlook stores as +91
011-91-33-12345-6790 or some other equally bad jumble. I don't want or need
the help - if I enter 011-91-33-12345-67890 that's how I want it to appear.
How do I kill this AUtoformat nonsense Bill and his boys assume you want

- Calendaring >> Calendar Sharing ChallengeGood day all,
We have three people who have thier Outlook Calendars
shared out to each other. Each of them can see the other
two calendars. It has been working fine up until the June
calendars. they can not see each others calendars from the
month of June on. The date lines are kind of greyed out.
The previous months come up fine. Am I missing something
simple, like a configuration of some sort? I am new to
this sharing of calendars, mail, etc.
Thanks

- Outlook >> Leave Messages on Server CheckboxGreetings,
In Outlook 2003, I want to uncheck "leave messages on server" and leave
it unchecked as default. It only works during a current instance of running
the program. Once I exit and re-start, the box is checked again and I don't
want to leave messages on server, or need to go six steps deep into the
program each time I run it to uncheck the option. I'm not using exchange,
just regular pop3 mail from my ISP. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm running on Win XP v.2002, w/ Service Pack 2. Using OE6.
I am having problems with INSERTING pictures into email. For some reason

the recipient the photo is removed and all that's there is an expty box with
a red "X" in the upper-left corner. It also appears in my "Sent Items" like
that, a few minutes after it was sent. I thought it might be my Anti-Virus
software (AVG) that was removing them, but I disabled it and the photos are
still disappearing. Please help!

- Outlook >> new pchi. I need to get a new hard drive.
I've backed everything up from My Documents.
For Outlook (2003) I've searched for *.pst . Thing is, if there are a few
pst files for example, you need to check the date to assess which one is the
one you are using.
Is there not a better way of doing this? Say from Outlook itself, to see
where its source file is stored.
Thanks

additional emails I do not want deleted. I keep having to go to the deleted

move it back to the inbox it re-deletes it. HELP please.
Thank you,
