Symantec E-mail proxy

Outlook269
When I try to send a message especially when I'm out of the country, using

outlook 2003, I get the message" Your e-mail to....with the subject....was

unable to be sent because the connection to your mail server was interrupted.

Please open your e-mail client and resend the message from the sent message

folder"

Any idea about how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated

Re:Symantec E-mail proxy

Are you attempting to use the same SMTP (outgoing mail) server that you use

when you're in the office (in the country)? You might need to change it

since the normal one you use could be bouncing your mail since you're not on

the same network any longer

Re:Symantec E-mail proxy

Thank you. Yes I do use the same outgoing mail server.

But this doesn't happen all the time...If I need to change it, what do I

have to change it to? Do you think this depends on the firewall used???

Re:Symantec E-mail proxy

The server to use depends on the network you're on. What provider are you

using when you're out of the country?
