Different IPs for FTP and WWW

I wondered if there was any advantage or disadvantage to using multiple IPs

on one NIC and bind FTP to one and HTTP to the other and setup DNS to point

to them individually?

Advantage is control and accountability, disadvantage is using a

second IP and having to deal with two IP's in DNS records.

Usually when you want to get advantages and disadvantages you submit more

options, I don't see options or alternatives.
