System restore seems to be what got me into my predicament in the first
place
- it seems to have left a subset of the Adobe files installed files on the
system. Either that or the CS3 install package installed some files before
erroring out when I attempted the reinstall. In any case, Adobe says the
CS3
installer won't work unless the system is free of all Adobe files. So, my
first problem to solve is getting rid of the Adobe files that are on my
system. Is it safe to run the Adobe uninstall script and Windows cleanup
utility in diagnostics mode? I don't have any program listing in CS3 in
the
Control Panel program list any more. Any other suggestions?
