RAM

Windows Vista19
If one has a PC2700 speed DDR333 1G RAM in a machine, can one also add

a higher speed along with that one stick, or does all of the RAM need

be the same speed? Just wondering, as I see that RAM has come down

quite a bit of late and there is a sale.

Thanks.

Often the higher speed RAM will work with the lower speed RAM, running at

the lower speed, but sometimes it won't. It's always best practice to

install matching RAM. Go to www.crucial.com and use their memory tool to

determine what RAM your computer needs. You won't save any money if you buy

the wrong RAM. Obviously you don't need to buy the RAM at Crucial, but

their prices are good and their service is excellent. It's a bad idea to

skimp on RAM.
