Windows Vista >> Find which service/Program is working Hi All,

From time to time I see the HD is working pretty extensive even though I
don't do anything significant in the computer. Is that possible to see which
program/service does that?

Thanks,

Joe

Right-click on the task bar, from the context menu select Task Manager. Take
a look at the Processes and Services tabs.

Also, you can download and install Process Explorer. It is a more powerful
tool:

The behaviour you are experiencing is quite normal, it is probably just the
indexing service, defragmenter etc. which is running in the background

Also the Performance tab, where you can click "Resource Monitor" which
gives you a lot of information about what is going on on your system.
