My new desktop short cuts are not working

"application not found" I must have deleted the application to make short cuts. My old short cuts on the desktop continue to work. help .... -- Thank You Dave - |

Thanks for the response. Making a short cut to the desktop for a progam works
fine. The trouble I'm having is making a short cut for a web site. The web site url will be place on the desk top,but the icon (pattern or view) is like one when your computer cannot find the application for a particular program.
