Folder for Windows updates/hotfixes

Windows Vista24
Hello:

Does anyone know which folder contains the Windows updates/hotfixes? In XP

it is in C:\Windows and the files there are prefixed with $Nt and

compressed. I would like to find the equivalent in Vista. Would it be safe

to delete those files in Vista? I have deleted the files in XP and never ran

into any problems. Thank you.

Re:Folder for Windows updates/hotfixes

This free program deletes those temporary files to clean up space if you

wish, along with many other things,

take a look

filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/" >filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

The option you want is listed under ADVANCED>Hotfix uninstallers

Re:Folder for Windows updates/hotfixes

Thanks. I actually have CCleaner on my system. I just wanted to know where

exactly those hotfix files were.

Re:Folder for Windows updates/hotfixes

For Windows Updates, go to Control Panel>Programs and Features>Installed

Updates. I can't find the hotfixes themselves, but I probably even want to

go near them.

Hi Martin,

In addition to Andre Da Costa's idea, this tutorial will show you how

to uninstall them from that list.
