Backup on DVD - Error

Windows Vista1
I can backup my C drive on any hard drive but when I try and back it up on

DVD's I get an I/O device error 0x8007045D which I looked up

www.microsoft-tech.com/index.aspx I tried it but it didn't

work. My DVD work's fine, I just don't have a 3rd party DVD burner program

because they cost to much.

Richard, I have a problem with using DVDs for back up as well. Sorry I can't

solve yours, but hope that someone can tell me why, when I insert a DVD to

burn a back up, it is not recognised and I get message asking me to insert a

DVD or CD into the drive. I t works fine with CDs, and plays video DVDs ok

too.

there are a few decent dvd burning programs that are either

free/trial/shareware out there, have a look here and search "dvd

burners"
