WMP 11 keeps showing "Windows Media Player is not configured for the Internet"
Windows Vista35
Hello All, I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 RC and recently I have been getting a problem with Windows Media Player where it constantly says "Windows Media Player is not configured for the Internet" and it suggests that I run the "Internet Connection Wizard" to reconnect. There is a similar issue in Windows XP that can be resolved by running the wizard however the ICW has been removed in Vista. This is particularly annoying because now my computer can no longer connect to streaming media though I would prefer not to have to reformat just to regain the ability to connect to streaming media again. I have also disabled firewalls and directly connected the computer to the modem to rule out my network. Lastly I tried enabling "Connect to the Internet (overrides other commands)" under WMP's options in the player tab. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
