Windows Vista >> cookies folder Open Windows Explorer, press F10 to see the menu, and choose Tools | Folder
Options. Click the View tab. Find the option to Show hidden files and
folders and check it. Find Hide protected operating system files and uncheck
it (Vista will gripe). Now you can navigate to the actual location, which is
twofold: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies and
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low.

Hi Gary

You are probably trying to open "C:\Users\<user>\Cookies"

This is not a directory. It is a protected junction point. The directory
which holds your cookies is:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

This is the directory you need to open.

If you go to a command prompt at C:\Users\<user>> and do a "dir /a" command,
you'll see the difference.

Hope it helps,

The directory is normally hidden.

Cut'n'paste the full Cookies pathname into the address bar in Explorer, to
force the Cookies directory to appear.

Or just use the Command Prompt, instead of Explorer. The Command Prompt
doesn't play the same optical illusions. Use DIR /A to see the true contents
of each directory.

Windows Vista >> cookies folder Cool! That does it. (I hate operating systems that you spend your life
tricking.)
