Vista and Explorer question

Windows Vista15
My husband and I just got a laptop w/vista. When I go to the internet on IE

the colors aren't true and the type is difficult to read. Even tho I go to

view and choose the largest type, it doesn't change.

I'm a beader (jewelry maker) and went to a favorite site to look at some

beads and couldn't tell the color. Some were described as light green but

they just looked white.

I came to my Dell Desktop and looked again and they were pale green.

Is this due to Vista or some setting I need to change on IE?

Also, IE opens up and the website is in the middle of the screen with extra

space on each side - even if I choose full screen, the site itself remains in

the same space.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks :)

Re:Vista and Explorer question

Hi,

1. Fonts / colors:

Internet Options>Advanced>Multimedia>Uncheck "Always use Clear type" Some

people like Clear type, some don't.

2. Some pages are designed to be a specific width, instead of filling the

screen. If the page is 800 pixels wide and your screen resolution is 1024 x

768 or 1280 x 960 the page won't fill a full sized IE window. You could try

the Zoom feature at the right end of the Status Bar.

Or you could try changing the resolution, but there isn't a perfect

resolution for all purposes.

From Control Panel>Personalization>Display settings>Resolution.

Hope this helps,

Don
