Hi ... am buying a laptop with widows vista home premium .. i want to know

whether sap gui 6.40 or 7.10 works with vista home premium ??

SAP GUI 7.10 is the earliest version which is supported by SAP for use on

Vista. Patchlevel 2 or later is recommended.



I've heard of people using SAP 6.40 but I believe they had some problems, I

don't know how severe.



If you need to run SAP GUI 6.40, you'd probably want to run it on an XP

machine. One convenient way to run XP and Vista at the same time, on the

same machine, is Microsoft's Virtual PC add-on:

It's free.



But if your SAP backend can handle a SAP GUI 7.10 client, then you can run

it on Vista.
