Issues with loggin in

Windows Vista21
I am running Vista Ultimate. I have two administrator accounts; one for me

and one for my wife. I can log into my account without any difficulty.

Currently when my wife tries to log into her account it takes a particularly

long amount of time to get past the screen that says welcome. When I do get

past it all I get is a black screen with the mouse pointer. I can move the

pointer but do nothing else. I cannot right click. I hit ctrl-alt-del and

can access the task manager. This started when the computer froze up while my

wife was using internet explorer, and I had to hit the reset button on my

computer. Can you help me?

Re:Issues with loggin in

Check your wife account Startup items in Windows Vista. Open the Run Command

(Windows key + R) type in MSCONFIG>hit Enter>accept prompt on UAC dialog

Quote
go to the Startup (tab) disable any unusual or suspicious startup items.

Re:Issues with loggin in

Re:Issues with loggin in

Are you sure that Windows Live OneCare TuneUp is not running in the

background? It can tremendously slow down the system.
