Windows Vista >> Folder called "Start Menu" appeared on my desktop

I recently copied a shortcut into my start menu and now a yellow folder
called "Start Menu" has appeared on my desktop, I can't delete it and it
won't let me put it in the Recycle Bin

Windows Vista x64 + SP1

Anyone any idea why this happened, how to get rid of it and how to stop it
happening again?

Thanks

Peter Lawton

Windows Vista >> Folder called "Start Menu" appeared on my desktop
right click on start menu, select properties. switch from "classic
start" to "start menu" the icon is gone! now switch back.

Windows Vista >> Folder called "Start Menu" appeared on my desktop Great, that fixed it :)

Thanks for the help !

Pity such an obvious bug is left in SP1 but I suppose with all the other
bugs MS just didn't get time to fix it
