Is there a way to prevent the "An unidentified program wants access to your

computer" box from coming up every time I open the same program?

Re:User Account Control

Replace the program with a properly written one.

Re:User Account Control

Yes, downgrade to an OS that allows malicious software to run without you

knowing about it.

Re:User Account Control

There is really no way to do that with the exception being to turn off UAC,

which is unadvisable.

Re:User Account Control

You can do that by right click the program icon and check "Always run

this program as administrator"

Re:User Account Control

Typically if you right click ->run as admin. Windows should remember this next time and not prompt.

Re:User Account Control

To disable UAC prompts (aka "Quiet Mode") NOT UAC.

Run Regedit and navigate to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

Change the value of ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin from "2" to "0".

Turn UAC off, it's implementation in Vista is pathetic and is being

redone in Windows 7.
