burning DVDs or CDs

Windows Vista4
i have tried to burn both cds and dvds, both data and audio versions,

backups...

microsofts built in burn capabilities don't want to burn anything

other than jpegs to backup... it won't back up any of my photoshop

files at all.....

is this some inherent limitation?

i tried burning audio cds through WMP and it won't let me do

anything...even songs that i recorded myself, it won't let me burn.

i'm guessing this has to do with some very strict copy protection

feature but i'm not sure....

what am i missing?

thanks

Re:burning DVDs or CDs

I am not in this stuff but I burned once a few pictures on a DVD, they

turned out OK but the "directory" was kind of messed up and I could not

easily figure out how to switch from one picture to another. Eventually I

did but I could not recall what worked and abandoned all my further

exploration because I was quite busy.

I am under the impression that I simply lacked time to make it work and had

I invested more of it I would have gotten decent pictures.
