I go to -Properties ->Customize ->Change Icon-, but that kind of

folders don't appear.

I assume it's because they're in a location other than the default one:

*%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll*.

Fortunately, there's a browse button. Anyone knows the location of

those blue folder icons? Thanks.

Try looking in "C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll"

Thats the new location for most of the Windows system icons. Using them

has the advantage of being able to be scaled up nicely, because they all

contain 256x256 PNG icons too

No really, no. I stumbled upon the IMGERES.DLL thanks to Microangelo

('Home of Microangelo: The Grand Daddy of Icon Software'

(www.microangelo.us/))." >www.microangelo.us/)).

Capture the picture with the snipping tool. Save it as a jpg.

Open the file with Paint.

Resize it to 32x32.

Save it as a 256 color BMP file.

Rename it <filename>.ico
