Minimising Screens!!! AArrgghhh!
Windows Vista22
How annoying is this! When I click on the scroll bar or title bar with my mouse (using the pad on the laptop) 70-80% of the time it minimises the window!!! It is really being to get quite annoying - for instance if I do the same but use the left button click on the laptop it works fine, i.e. letting you scroll up/down. BUT - tap the pad to scroll up/down the majority (not all) times it will minimise the window! Is there anyway to stop this?! Many thanks - Zimmo - |

Yup. Change your settings for your touchpad. You can actually set up zones
on your touchpad as hotkeys and by default, one of them is set to minimize (I also had that problem until I figured this out). Go to control panel>mouse>Device Settings, and then click on the settings button. It will open synaptics properties. Click on the + next to Tap Zones and then change the actions as you want or turn it off all together. You can also reset the sizes - I changed mine to be very small - the outer corners only - and its actually very helpful. I have one set to print, one open email, one open browser, etc. Lori -- Shop for clothes, boots, gothic, jewelry, collectible, Egyptian and more!
