Vista and XP
Windows Vista14
Hi Folks, has anyone any idea how I can uninstall Vista (Upgrade) and return to XP . This program is doing my head in. It hangs most of the time and crashes everyday. Dell want me to give them £57 for them to tell me how to do it on the phone. Any help would be appreciated. -- Regards Mike and Dina - |

QuoteHi Folks, it to nuke the drive and restore the computer back to how it was when you bought it. If you don't have a restore disk and it's on a hidden partition, perhaps you can make a restore disk from it or just use it to restore back to factory settings. If Dell gave you an XP disk and a drivers disk, use those. -- Alias To email me, remove shoes - |

Re:Vista and XP
If you have an XP installation disk, boot from it and format the partition
on which Vista is currently installed during the text based portion of setup. Make sure all your important files and documents are backed up. Also ensure you can obtain XP device drivers from Dells website for your system components. If you don't have an XP disk, you will just have to buy one. -- Andre Blog: adacosta.spaces.live.com" >adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry" >adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "Mike Charlton" <mikadene@nildram.co.uk>wrote in message QuoteHi Folks, - |
