A wps file is one produced by Microsoft Works, which you apparently had installed on your own computer. If you didn't install it yourself, the computer came with it preinstalled. Microsoft Works is a separate product, unrelated to any version of Windows, and does not come with any version. Your new computer, on the other hand, did not come with Microsoft Works. So you do not have the needed software installed to open these files. The solution is a simple one, but costs some money: buy a copy of Microsoft Works. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup - |
