Does Vista block cookies by default?

Windows Vista9
Core Duo, 2GB, Vista Home Premium working perfectly

Avast plus Defender

On both IE and Firefox, certain sites that require a

logon - such as cruisecritic.com - are blocked. I cannot

even get to the logon screen! In the browser I have

enabled cookies without restriction, experimented with

AV off, and the problem persists. Can it be Vista?

Any ideas?

Thanks

This is probably the cause - your Hosts file.
