The Mail button no longer appears on the toolbar, and there are changes in
the way that you access mail-related functionalities in Internet Explorer 7:

MS doesn't want you to do that, because they don't...
Haven't you seen their new advertising slogan?

It can't be tattooed on Bill's butt. It's too waterlogged
from all the cheerleaders in this group kissing it.

If you don't like Internet Explorer 7, and want to go back to IE6,
go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
Find Windows Internet Explorer 7, highlight it, and click "Remove".
That will take you back to IE6. The roll-back process worked
for me, for which I am grateful to Microsoft.

I was looking for the icon for my laptop. Found it. Problem, when I click on
it I get the windows installer for Microsoft Office 2003 setup, not my mail
sign in.
This doesn't happen on my desktop. Both use IE7. ???

I would also like to get back the "read mail" icon in IE7. Haven't found
anything that explains how to add an icon to the toolbar other than the
pre-defined icons--of which read mail is not one.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Tom K,
On the right side, go to tools, toolbar, customize, you can add icons from
the menu. Hope this helps.

From IE7 click on Tools>Internet Options, select the Programs tab, and
change the program used for email.
