After navigating back to my home page, I keep receiving a message: "We're
sorry, the content you requested is currently unavailable. Please try again
later."

Hello,
* try deleting your web browser cache (Tools -> Delete browsing
history...").
* Try starting IE without add-ons: Windows-key + R ->
iexplore.exe -extoff -> Enter . Does the problem persist? If not, start IE
normally again and go to Tools -> Manage add-ons -> Enable or disable
add-ons, and disable one add-on after another to see which is causing the
issue.
