Internet Explorer / IE >> The ie7 "Find" feature
so far im liking the new ie7, but the "find" feature, when pressing ctrl+f,
is just the same as in ie6, just gets in the way all the time. Wouldnt it be
better to have it in a toolbar at the bottom of the ie window, kind of like
in firefox?

Internet Explorer / IE >> The ie7 "Find" feature
Hi Darren,
In the latest IE7 version, the Find dialog will appear in the upper right
corner of the page, out of the way as you wish. :-)

That may be "out of the way" in some cases but not in others. I just
tried Finding a string that I knew would be hidden by the Find dialog
and sure enough the string was highlighted but the Find dialog was
not moved so as to make the highlighted text viewable. The Firefox
approach takes some getting used to (people aren't used to looking
at the bottom of the Window for controls) but the concept behind it
(assuring that a dialog doesn't obscure the page view) is sound.
