Internet Explorer / IE >> Need way to identify registry entries up front

I just installed IE7 and it was a miserable experience. I must have done the
installation 7 or 8 times. Each time the installation failed was becuase
some registry key did not have the correct premissions. If you gave me a
little app I could run ahead of the installation that would identify ALL the
keys whose permissions need changing, that would help a lot.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Need way to identify registry entries up front Better yet, have IE7 make any needed changes. If other software, including
browser software, can install without the user making needed changes to the
Registry, I think Microsoft should be able to do the same.
I have been a staunch supporter of MS but this convoluted installation
procedure inspired me to download and install Firefox....without editing the
Registry.
