privacy

Internet Explorer6
I live in a house with a roommate and my roommate has a computer downstairs

and I have one upstairs. My roommate says that he can see what I do online

and where I go online through internet explorer. How can I protect myself?

We have one phone line and both have dial-up access to AOL through the same

phone line, one at a time, of course. When I am online, he can watch what

websites I visit through internet explorer or so he brags. I need to know

how to maintain my privacy.

Get your own phone line or at least your own modem.

Sounds like you are both networking on one modem.

BTW this really has nothing to do with IE and more to do with

networking on your OS. Usually I would cross-post such off-topic

posts to the appropriate networking NG to help redirect you

and possibly even get some feedback from there

but you didn't disclose your OS.

Good luck
