Internet Explorer / IE >> Downloads

I use IE7 with Win. Vista Business on a computer acquired three days ago. My
Broadband is very slow 2MB falling down to 1MB sometimes. I had a software
for a program to download for these Windows, which was to last 1hr.50min.
After about half of this time I had a notice stating that the download was
terminated by the Internet because it was Timed Out. I did not have this
happening to me before with my old PC on Win.XP. Is there a way of extend
the Downloading times on IE7 so that it is not timed out?

Internet Explorer / IE >> Downloads Hi Zygy:

Internet Explorer 7 is only a browser. It doesn't alter the speed of
your broadband connection. If you're having a problem with your
broadband connection the people to talk to are at your broadband provider.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Downloads I am not complaining about the speed. I want to know why the Internet
(according to the notice) has terminated my download half way through it.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Downloads Thank you for replying. There must have been an unexplained hitch yesterday
with HP computer, because today I downloaded the installation software for
their scanner over 1hr.52min without a problem.
