I don't believe that you get exactly this message. It might help if you

quote it exactly as it appears and under what circumstances.

That is what it says, and it happens when I type in a URL or select a fav.

so reallly all the time.

the strange thing is, I stuck on Avant Browser, because I prefer5 it to IE

anyway, as it have decent tags and some other features and Avant works fine,

which is strange considering it uses the IE engine.

Anyway, the link below will take you to a snap of my screen at tyhe time of

the error.

I've never seen an IE error message with grammar that bad. Is that the

complete message?

Re:Internet explorer have stopped working

Believe it. When I first installed IE7 I got the same message many times.

Now IE just closes at times. Certain sites kill IE7. My webmail site was

causing a script error to repeatedly display. I had to use task bar to kill

IE7 and then add my webmail site to trusted sites. Worked for about 20

minutes and then I got the same error 'Internet Explorer has stopped working'

No, you didn't, read carefully.

No, it doesn't ;-) Thanks for posting the screenshot. That clarifies things. If

you compare you'll see that the text is different. It's *really* important to

quote errors exactly "as is". There is quite a few Malware which mimicks common

OS error messages and there are some real OS messages which look similar to

each other. So, nobody can rely on your quoted message since it's not sure it's

only a typo.

If it happens that often and you can't identify the cause you better stop using

it.

Is this an upgrade from XP? This may be part of the problem. I can't tell you

if .NET could have caused this - you can uninstall it.

I'm not running Vista, so I can't tell you how to get at the details of that

error message, but I suspect you may find the real error in the event log.

The most common cause for this kind of error are Add-Ons (Toolbars and any

other IE helpers you installed into the browser, this may include your Avant

browser).
