Internet Explorer / IE >> IE 7 Problem

My friend, who is not PC literate, installed Norton's 360 on his XP home
Dell. Since then, he is the only one who can access the internet via IE7. His
families' user accounts, which are also on the same PC, can access e-mail,
but as soon as you try & run IE7, CPU usage goes to 100% & stays there. I
have tried disabling the firewall in N 360, but no change. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Internet Explorer / IE >> IE 7 Problem Hi Rick:

Your friend should review his Norton 360 settings to see if Norton 360
is causing the problem.

For help with Symantec software, it's best to deal with Symantec. Has he
consulted the Symantec knowledge base for advice?

This article in particular may be helpful:

Your friend can contact Symantec technical support directly:

Does your friend have the same trouble if Norton 360 is uninstalled?

Internet Explorer / IE >> IE 7 Problem 1) Have you tried right click on IE desktop icon and selected Start Without
Add-ons?
Does the behavior persist?

2) Try disabling Norton Confidential Helper Add-on

Are you using third-party toolbars? Yahoo, Google, Firefox?
