Allow Tab Bar to Disappear When Only One Window Open

Internet Explorer98
I find it very annoying to be forced to have the tab bar open and taking

space up on the viewing screen when I only have one window/tab open. If there

is only one open, I need not the entire tab bar. Only when I have two or more

tabs should I require the tab bar, and having it disappear when there is only

one tab open allows for more screen space.

Therefore, my suggestion is to have the option to have the tab bar gone when

there is only one window/tab open (the tab bar is not needed when you have

one tab - it's like a regular window in Internet Explorer 6!).

Thank you. I want my screen space to view webpages. The less clutter on the

screen, the better.

Sincerely,

Mike.

Re:Allow Tab Bar to Disappear When Only One Window Open

IE7 is now feature complete. Don't expect any changes from now until RTW.

Maybe in IE8.

Re:Allow Tab Bar to Disappear When Only One Window Open

If that is true, then IE7 is going to be a browser I wish not to use. It's an

unnecessary screen space waste that de-values the layout. I'd rather stick

with Firefox, which has the option, and so the browser is very minimal. It's

too bad, I was looking forward to the updated Internet Explorer and using it.

Sincerely,

Mike.

Have you seen Firefox 2 yet?
