Internet Explorer / IE >> There is a long delay in scrolling with IE 7
When I attempt to scroll using the wheel with IE 7, there is a long delay
causing the scroll to continue in small jumps long after I have stopped
scrolling.

Sounds like it's either a result of using "smooth scrolling" on a slow pc,
or you might want to upgrade your mouse driver. I believe some
Microsoft mice suffer this problem.

I have the same scrolling problem with large web pages in IE7. Firefox
handles them flawlessly, of course, so I doubt it's the mouse or the driver.
To digress for a moment, I find this newsgroup strange. People post very
serious problems with IE, and then immediately other people arrive to poo-poo
them, and tell them it's all in their mind. Is this group run by Microsoft
PR people, whose job it is to convince us the problem is not a problem? It
seems that way to me. I simply don't understand in what universe anyone can
be calling IE7 "great", as I've seen in some responses. It's absurd.

I find IE7 to be great and I haven't experienced any of the "very
serious problems" that some people have. Just because some people
experience problems with IE7 it doesn't mean that everybody does.

I had the same problem, and followed the instructions to set to "smooth
scrolling" this had no effect.
I had to update my mouse driver then play with the settings.
Mine was set to scroll 3 lines at a time so it was delayed and jerky
once reset to scroll 1 line all ok.
I hope this helps
