I downloaded IE7 yesterday. version 7.0.5730.11CIO on XP Pro Svc pk 2. The
autocomplete function is not working like it did in previous versions of IE.
I have gone to Internet Options, Content and it is check off for Web
addresses and Forms. I can see "Usernames and Passwords on forms" and Prompt
me to save passwords" but it is "gray" and will not let me check those two
off. Any suggestions for someone that is of the wrong generation for this
new fangled technology??

Uninstall IE7 and reinstall it according to these instructions: http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html
and read the IE7 release notes. Don't have any security programs other than the
Windows firewall running during install!
